Born on February 15, 1992, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, fashion designer Vianel Paredes grew up in Puerto Rico. Having her mom create dresses for Vianel and sister for every party and holiday since there were babies. That’s when Vianel understood the level of craftsmanship of a custom garment. Her mom became an inspiration to open a door for a creative world in fashion.
Having more family member that work in fashion making was enchanting to her at just 13, she became assisting her influential aunt, Ines Paredes. Relocating to New York at 19, she honed her craft through studies at institutions like the Escuela Artes Plasticas and Fashion Institute of Technology. Vianel’s designs draw inspiration from Caribbean culture, offering a unique blend of vibrant colors, bold prints, and intricate detailing, empowering women to embrace boldness.
